General Accessibility Statement

This website is checked for compliance with Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. We are continuously working to meet the requirements.

Accessibility measures

We constantly strive to improve the accessibility of our website. To this end, the website is checked for accessibility at regular intervals.
We have taken the following steps so far:

Navigation

  • The website is clearly structured so that users can easily find their way around.
  • Uniform menus and consistent user guidance facilitate navigation.
  • Skip links allow users to jump directly to the main content without having to go through the entire navigation.
  • For quick orientation, you will find a sitemap on the website under this link.

Texts and structure

  • The language of the page is correctly defined for output.
  • Content is predominantly written in clear and understandable language.
  • The semantic HTML structure uses logical headings (H1–H6), lists, and paragraphs.

Compatibility with screen readers

  • Relevant images and graphics are provided with descriptive alternative texts.
  • No automatic changes are possible without user control (for example, no sudden focus changes).
  • Further links are named meaningfully or provided with ARIA labels.

Keyboard operability

  • Interactive elements can be accessed and used with the keyboard.
  • Optimized keyboard navigation ensures a logical focus order.
  • Clear visual highlighting of focused elements makes orientation easier.

Usability of forms

  • Forms contain explanations and correctly assigned labels and ARIA attributes to facilitate input.
  • Error messages are clearly worded and offer solutions for input errors..

Adjustments for better perception

  • Contrasts, font colors, backgrounds, and buttons have been adjusted for better visibility.
  • Font sizes, line lengths, and spacing have been optimized for better readability.
  • Zoomability up to 200% without loss of functionality is guaranteed.

Content with barriers

This website is largely compliant with the accessibility requirements of WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

However, the following elements and functions do not comply with the guidelines:

Disproportionately high expenses

Older content created before the current accessibility guidelines came into effect may not be fully accessible. Retrofitting this content would require disproportionately high expenditure. However, we strive to make highly relevant content and new documents accessible.

PDFs with barriers

Our website contains PDFs with barriers. We aim to make all new PDFs and relevant documents accessible from fall 2025 onwards.
Flipbooks that are integrated into the website using the Flipbook tool cannot be opened using the tab key. In addition, the controls within Flipbook cannot be accessed using a keyboard and are therefore not fully accessible.

Usability of forms

We process our order platform via the “Delivery Partner Web Service Platform.” Neither the login nor the order form itself are sufficiently optimized for accessibility. As this is aimed at B2B (business-to-business) customers, no optimization is planned in the near future.

Limited accessibility of the interactive map

Our website contains an interactive map based on OpenStreetMap. Unfortunately, this feature is not currently fully accessible. This is because the technical requirements for implementing an accessible interactive map would involve disproportionate effort.
The map may not be fully usable by people with certain disabilities, as no special adjustments for screen readers or alternative operating options are integrated.

Videos

Our embedded videos have the option of displaying automated subtitles. However, these may be inaccurate in some places.
